Biodiesel Production Plant

What Is Biodiesel? Urgently improve diesel quality and reduce exhaust emissions!

      • Biodiesel can be used as a substitute for petroleum fuels. The biggest feature of “biodiesel” is its renewability, clean-burning diesel replacement that is creating jobs. The resource will never be exhausted and improving the environment. The EPA has recognized biodiesel’s environmental benefits by classifying it as an Advanced Biofuel, making biodiesel the only commercial-scale fuel produced nationwide to meet the agency’s advanced criteria.

    • Development Status Of Biodiesel

      Country Development Of Status
      Europe
The production of biodiesel can enjoy government tax incentives, and its retail price is lower than that of ordinary diesel
      Italy
Implement a zero tax policy for biodiesel
      South Korea
      Expanded to 200,000 tons/year in 2010
      Brazil
In 2020, the proportion of biodiesel in petroleum diesel will reach 20%
      Australia,Malysia and so on
Is accelerating the development of biodiesel industry
      Germany
Restricting the sale of biodiesel only on major traffic routes
  • Application of Biodiesel

    Country Application of Biodiesel
    Europe
It is the region that uses the most biodiesel, and its share has accounted for 5% of the refined oil market
    Germany
More than 1,500 petrol stations sell biodiesel, making it the first alternative fuel sold nationwide in Germany
    Austria
With more than 100 gas stations selling biodiesel, the biodiesel market continues to expand
    USA
The USA military, public facilities, and schools all use biodiesel officially, with transportation companies being the main users of biodiesel
    Brazil
A company purchased biodiesel from four Brazil biodiesel production plants and transferred it to the sale of petroleum diesel
    UK
A company grows jatropha in India for the production of biodiesel

Biodiesel Of Raw Material

      • Biodiesel can be produced from vegetable oil and animal oil, but at present, fatty acids, swill oil, urban waste oil, and refined waste are used as raw materials. Not only the waste cooking oil produced by the catering industry, but also rapeseed oil, soybean oil, corn oil, cottonseed oil, peanut oil, sunflower oil, palm oil, and coconut oil, actually have the possibility of “transforming” into diesel oil.

Chemical Formula Explanation

Biodiesel Advantages

  • Item Biodiesel Advantages
    Good ignition performance
The cetane number is a quality index to measure the fuel performance of the fuel in the compression ignition engine. The cetane number of biodiesel is higher than 45 (45 for petrochemical diesel), and its ignition performance is better than that of petrochemical diesel.
    More sufficient fuel
The oxygen content of biodiesel is higher than that of petrochemical diesel, up to 11%. The amount of oxygen required in the combustion process is less than that of petrochemical diesel, and the combustion is more sufficient than that of petrochemical diesel.
    Wide applicability
In addition to being an alternative fuel for diesel engines such as buses and trucks, biodiesel can also be used as an alternative fuel for non-road diesel engines such as marine transportation, water power equipment, geological mining equipment, and fuel power plants.
    Good versatility
There is no need to change the diesel engine, it can be directly added for use, and there is no need to add additional fueling equipment, storage and transportation equipment and special technical training of personnel (usually other alternative fuels may require modification of the engine before use).
    Safe and reliable
The flash point of biodiesel is higher than that of petrochemical diesel, which is conducive to safe storage, transportation and use.
    Energy saving and consumption reduction
Biodiesel itself is a fuel, and it can be mixed with petrochemical diesel in a certain proportion to reduce fuel consumption and improve power performance.
    It has excellent environmental properties
The low sulfur content in biodiesel makes the emission of SO2 and sulfide low, which can be reduced by about 30% (70% when there is a catalyst); Human body damage is low.
    Protect power equipment
The kinematic viscosity of biodiesel is slightly higher than that of diesel. Without affecting the atomization of fuel, it is easier to form an oil film on the inner wall of the cylinder, thereby improving the lubricity of moving parts and reducing the wear of parts.
